Construction and Bricklaying

Bricklayers are experts at building things in OHED operational zones. They can be hired on a contractual basis to work on specific projects for their own interests. Many people hire OHED members to train them or build their homes. In addition to conducting trainings and building homes, they can also build hospitals and schools. At OHED, every major construction project needs the help of several bricklayers. This is because in some areas, construction work would not be possible without OHED bricklayers. They are engaged in the building of houses every step of the way. Their involvement is crucial towards the completion of community projects. This makes them very important when it comes to building houses. Most OHED bricklayers are engaged in a temporary basis. OHED members are planning to increase the number of trained bricklayers in 2022. However, permanent support is highly needed in terms of equipment.

Most OHED trained bricklayers work in the form of teams. The team itself is supervised by a supervisor from the Board of Directors. The supervisor is often a bricklayer himself. This allows the supervisor to have an idea of what the work is like.
Also, it allows the supervisor to better understand the work of the team. The main reason supervision is so important at OHED is because it helps to complete a project on time.
