Health and Wash

Through OHED’s health and WASH projects in our recent three years, 12,079 people have learned how to prevent HIV/AIDS, TB, COVID-19 and other infectious diseases in the target areas of the DR Congo. More importantly, OHED trainers continue to show the participants how the victims of HIV/AIDS, TB, COVID-19 and SGBV can be protected and cared for by their communities and/or relatives.

The organization volunteers have also campaigned much throughout the provinces on the prevention of COVID-19 and malaria, including use of mosquito nets, and clean and safe water.

During the organized sessions, they have also been explaining to the inhabitants of target areas the various proper ways of dealing with waste disposal and sanitation conditions as well as the mechanisms of avoiding the related consequences in their communities.

OHED members are joined in the belief that Congolese people must solve their own health, sanitation and hygiene problems. Likewise, we are working so that every person in the DR Congo can become healthy and economically strong in his/her community where he/she is protected, cared for and given the opportunities to enjoy his/her life in peace and prosperity. The treasure of each of our members’ heart and the measure of their wealth are the happiness and well-being of all.
